We Love Discovery Point in Lexington Oaks.  The staff is so fabulous, they are nice and caring.  They are constantly cleaning too (which we love).  I have to say that selecting a day care facility for my son was not easy, as you have to put your most precious possession in the hands of a complete stranger and a strange facility.  But when I picked my son up after the very first day, he was smiling and so happy to be there, that you just feel so relieved as a mom to have made the "right" choice.  The staff makes us feel like we are part of their family...and that is just priceless.  I love all of the different activities that they offer as well, such as Jungle Bus etc...we HIGHLY recommend Discovery Point, you will love it!

I want to personally thank the VPK Teachers that helped my child, Kira, in school this year.  Those teachers took the time to help my little girl.  When she first started at Discovery Point at Lexington Oaks, I was concerned with her level of education in regards to other children her age.  She didn't know her alphabet or numbers by sight.  As time has passed she has come a long way and is currently working on Math and Writing. Because of her teachers, Ms. F, Ms. G and Ms. R,  I have no concern with her walking into Kindergarten in the year 2011/2012.  I went to register her for Kindergarten and she was tested on what she knew and only missed three questions.  Personally this is saying a lot about the school and teachers.  I have personally seen in the past years that most teachers at child daycare centers think that this is only a job and do the minimal instead of going the extra mile that some kids tend to need. 

With that said, I would like to personally thank Ms. F, Ms. G and Ms. R for all the work they have accomplished this school year.  Thank you so much for helping Kira succeed in getting ready for Kindergarten.

From the Grant Family....

I dreaded the thought of going back to work after giving birth to my beautiful son.  This was mostly due to the fact that I wouldn't be able to stay home with him, and thought it would be difficult to find anyone that i thought could care for him as well as I could.  Fortunately, I came to find Discovery Point, after I had toured nearly 10 daycares in the area!  When we walked in, we were greeted by two friendly faces at the front desk.  Both were more than willing to show us around the facility.  I was impressed with not only the friendly staff, but the cleanliness of the facility as well!  I have found an amazing home away from home for my son.  It measn a lot that when I drop Austin off in the morning I don't have to wonder if he's in good hands or not.  I know that he is nurtured, not only physically, but mentally as well.  Discovery Point is so much more than a day care, it's like an extension of Austin's family.

Thank you for your love and kindness you have shown to our son. Kaleb will miss you a great deal, and we will keep up the “Slippery Fish” song. You have taught our son so much and helped his motor skills improve. He has even spoken a few Spanish words. Thank you again for everything.

 In the short amount of time my son, Hayden, has been at Discovery Point I have see a huge improvement in his social skills and attitude. At my sons previous preschool, he was often whiny and depressed when he came home. He never wanted to go in the mornings and told me all they do is watch TV. As a parent, I wanted... a place where my son wants to go to school and have a great time while learning. At Discovery Point, I have found just that. He comes home talking about all his new friends and his new best buddy. He wants to play more with the neighborhood kids and even wanted to by his own preschool workbook for home. He is excited to go to school in the morning and it makes me feel so comfortable when I can drop him off and all the teachers and directors know his name and greet him. Without a double, I would highly recommend Discovery Point to my family and friends with kids!

To the owners and staff:

We wanted to make a few comments about how pleased we are with the Discovery Point" experience" we have had since November, 2009.

Our two grandchildren are currently enrolled in VPK for the year, 2010 - 2011. They also attend in the mornings before school and after. They have grown so much socially, mentally... and physically that we are amazed at the changes each day. One of the most important things we noticed: They have not missed a day of school due to catching an illness (knock on wood) from the school environment, staff or classmates. Previously, when they attended "another" daycare, I can tell you that there were many, many times that one or both of them had to come home due to illness that was going around at the school. Most of the time they were not really sick - we believe the school was not as clean and sanitary as it should have been and they did not have enough properly trained staff to deal with very minor issues.

The grandkids are both so excited to go to school each day and proudly show off their papers and projects when we pick them up. This is important to us because we want them to learn and also to enjoy the school experience. Their language skills are just stunning, they sing songs like "America" from beginning to end, word for word, are reading stories from books and writing those same words on their practice paper pads for us to see. Just amazing for their age!

When the grandkids start kindergarten in August 2011 they will be so well-prepared. Fortunately, they will still be doing the Discovery Point "experience" in the morning and after school for many years to come.

Your staff should be well commended for their efforts and successes.
